The literary festival in French-speaking Switzerland to showcase the season’s new literary releases

Le livre sur les quais is an international cultural event held every year in Morges. Over the years, the festival has become one of the most not-to-be-missed and popular literary events in French-speaking Switzerland.

You can meet a wide range of authors invited for book signings, popular writers, big names in literature, essayists, novelists, authors of children's literature, up-and-coming writers and many more.

Le livre sur les quais offers a rich programme of artistic events, with a Swiss and French-language programme including talks, discussions, readings, literary performances, literary cruises and film screenings, as well as a foreign programme with debates in English featuring guests from various cultures and countries. Younger readers will not be left out either, as the festival offers a children's programme with activities specially designed for schools, young audiences and families, as well as an area dedicated to children.

Le livre sur les quais seeks to highlight Swiss authors from all the country's linguistic regions, and promotes the coexistence of different languages and their literatures, with a special focus on translators.

Each year the festival features a guest of honour: a presidency, a country/linguistic region and a publishing house.

Collaboration with independent bookshops in French-speaking Switzerland is at the heart of the festival.
